Our Members-at-Large special election and next board meeting will take place on 1/9/20 at the Karl Road Columbus Library Branch, 5590 Karl Road, Columbus, OH 43229.

In between the election and board meeting will be a separate session to specifically discuss our 2020 schedule. If you wish to attend only the scheduling portion, plan to arrive at 7:30 PM. Please also note that we are extending an open invitation to club members to be on the board-reportable Scheduling Committee.

We now have Nationals and Regionals dates set and are looking to fill out our schedule. This discussion is open to ALL board members. Our aim is to set a schedule with plenty of club buy-in and enthusiasm. Topics of conversation include but are not limited to:

Multi Game Trips.
Potential/Future Home and Home agreements.
The Benefit and Future of the EAFL carnival round-robin for our club
Saturday Metros / AFL X
Practice Times and Dates (including first practices).

We do ask that any correspondence that you may have had with other clubs be documented prior to attending the meeting. Further, if you can not attend but have any comments or feedback based on the above topics, please send them to Columbusfooty@gmail.com and optionally copy deanpanik@gmail.com or Alecdooley@gmail.com. It needs to be mentioned that I (Dean) intend to raise the topic of leaving the EAFL round-robin carnival competition at the board meeting so that we can be free to pursue building our own schedule. This would not mean leaving the EAFL Regionals. I understand this is a contentious issue. However, as it stands, according how I am reading the club rules, this is currently solely a board decision. This can be made into an all-club vote with a written petition to the board by a non-board member supported by two other non-board members to allow for an all-club vote and that petition being passed by a majority of the board.

Regardless or whether or not there is interest to make the above issue or issues subject to an all-club vote, the board sincerely wants your opinion on these important matters which will affect our club in Season 2020.
